Morning WHITE-OUT!★2010/01/15 15:36
Today’s a happy day coz I went for my 6th ski lesson on a powder day
One of the perfect day to slide through the mountain I suppose
Coz of the big snowfalls but light winds , groomed runs/tracks back to powder all over in
a glimpse
Powder powder all the way down It feels so soft like as if I was stepping on some pillow or something
I don’t really know how to describe very well in words of how amazingly powder is the powder snow is here but maybe if you never tried powder snow before, you can imagine if that you’re in an air-conditioned room full of loose powder
Erm…weird..
but it’s true that the snow here is totally dry and light! Never get wet at all even getting dumped by snow all day Walking on it feels so nice like as if you’re walking on a very fine white sand beach but powder snow is further more lighter~
Anyway, this is how today’s morning looked like.
Big big snow-powderfalls and it was all WHITE-OUT
But it kinda eased down a lil’ bit later on when I had my lesson.
It was bearable and in fact it was more fun when going to ski on a day like this coz the tracks got covered back by snow so quickly
And actually there was a serious incident happened today..
Biggest happening, biggest snow-incident, biggest injuries..
A ski is dead…real dead..
No idea why.. Looks like it got ripped off or something..
Today’s Snow Report (15 Dec 2010)

And, yesterday’s snow report (14 Dec 2010)

Was overcoming my sadness of the fact that Yapi is leaving, and he left yesterday..
Though he could stay for the whole winter..and I was all-happy to have him here..
But yeah, he had to leave.. muu
Last ski-ing day for Yapi
But he’ll be back when spring blooms End of March…no sakura yet in Hokkaido though.. But still March is Spring~ Can’t wait~

Skied on a blue blue sky
A clear blue sky on a snow mountain really gives a magnificent panorama view!
I mean, I can even see the far far away
And, there’s no lift going down generally at Hanazono..
Gonna aim to master Silver Dream
8 Jan 2010
Today’s Snow Report

My office is FABULOUS~!★2010/01/07 14:08
Time to know where exactly I’m working at now.
I’m in Niseko Resorts which is located in Hokkaido.
I know everybody knows Hokkaido.
So just get a plane to New Chitose Airport, and then get a bus straight away to Niseko Resort and there’s where I am now until 6 April
If you are to come for a visit, REMEMBER to book a bus to your resort online before hand
You can go for Skybus.or maybe others, not so sure but Google more to find out! Easy~
Or, maybe the resort provides airport transportation for their guests.
Anyway, so where exactly do I work at
.
.
.

Here
My head office,
My head office,
Mt. Niseko Annupuri
(I showed this pic before on the other entry but I just love this shot so much )
I’ve never been to the top of my head office..
I mean…
I’m a newbie, newbie stays at the base most of the time..
there are 4 resorts around Mt. Niseko Annupuri.
Niseko Annupuri
Niseko Village Ski Resort
Niseko Grand Hirafu – Hirafu Area
Niseko Grand Hirafu – Hanazono Area
(That’s why I gave the lil’ house there a flower to make it special! )
Hanazono
.
.
.
.
.
Snow mountain is always monotone, that’s why it’s always looks like an ancient Chinese ink art Very pretty~
So, I consider Mt. Niseko Annupuri as my head office and Hanazono as my branch office where I’ll be most of the time, working hard to get promoted to be at the top
5 Jan 2010

Missed out the tempo at the end…(tongue out )
6 Jan 2010
Daily Snow Report..
Getting there.. more confidence
haha
7 Jan 2010
Daily Snow Report..
It was quite beautiful though a bit cloudy in the morning over here in Hanazono, but other resorts seems not so good with strong winds.
This made Hanazono a busy buzzy day today for all the lifts in other resorts were shut.
After the report,
1st time on the tube A lil’ bit scary to start and always losing to Samara.
P/SSorry for the outdated reports on my blog..
Not sure when is the exact time the Snow Report is being uploaded to YouTube and I can’t just wait for it in front of my computer… need to ski~ Yay~
Anyway, you can always check it out straight away from YouTube, HANOZONOPOWDERTV channel.
BUT, from tomorrow onwards, I’ll be the one who in-charge on the uploading
Easier and earlier updating Up on YouTube maybe within 10am ~ 11am
You can always check on the channel if it’s not on my blog anyway.
Yay~!

Panorama Snow Land !★2010/01/05 10:02
Never get bored on just being in this Snow Land
It’s hard to take good pictures in a Snow Land coz it’b be cloudy most of the time and on cloudy days, pictures turn out very gloomy even though you see the falling snow so beautifully on your own eyes
So aim for a sunny clear blue sky day for photoshoots~
Late but still,
Yesterday Snow Report..
Intonation getting better as a reporter! haha
Yesterday was a beautiful day with light snow falls!

2010 Happy New Year!!!★2010/01/03 18:39
Happy New Year 2010
Can’t believe another year has passed..
It’s 2010 now and we are no longer able to write
200?, double “0” anymore..
My 2010 New Year’s resolutions would be..
Be happy, be young, be energetic, be exciting, be challenging and be Rich
wahaha
Anyway, snow storm on the first day of 2010 here in Niseko
And everything everywhere is as white as ever in the morning~
White powder topping cute~
But real hard to dig the car out from there.. it’s Samara’s car..
Forget about the car coz today, we’ll be taking the bus for our New Year’s journey.
Croissant, french fries and vanilla ice cream
Not a very healthy meal for breakfast。。
I normally have coffee and muffin for breakfast here…(muffins were really nice )
My 2nd time up to the mountain without an instructor..
The first time when I went up there, I nearly thought that I’m gonna stuck up in the mountain forever for it was almost impossible for me to get down that slope safely
Can’t believe they said that, Silver Dream course, is a course for beginner..
Am I not even at a beginner level
Well, I’m back to the base safe and sound now…though having a few humpty dumpty fell throughout the whole course..
My 2nd try was not as bad…
Erm…as in ‘falling’..
But having a great snow storm up in the mountain…
It was all calm and beautiful down at the base of the mountain..
Never expect it to be a STORM up there
It was all WHITE-OUT, can’t see a thing from 2 meters away..
That was really bad and we thought of going down by the lift..
and guess what
The wind was too strong and they have to stop the lifts from running
OMG..what to do
We have to ski down..
But we can’t possibly slide down through Silver Dream, coz it was hard even during a clear bright day! Can’t tell what would happen if we go down Silver Dream in this storm..
There’s another beginner course, called Holiday course..
People said, that course should be easier..
So we had no choice but to trust them..
It was not that bad indeed..
There were 1 or 2 steeper slope but other than that, it was fine.
Slide all the way down. SAFE
STORM was scary, but it was kind an experienceIt was exciting
Somehow, I felt the power of nature through the storm..
Felt through my body that the earth is living..
I normally do, but this time is different..it’s just hard to tell..
It’s not just because it looks beautiful..
I felt them living..
It’s the magic of nature..
But never should anyone underestimate the mountains. in the sense of safety.
Anyway, after the storm ride..
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Face with 2 colors..
At first, I thought it was sunburn, but an instructor told me it was wind-burn..
And I know now it was actually from the freezing coldness..
Holiday course leads to a different ski resort, so we took a bus home and took a bus again back to where we started..coz I left all my stuffs there..
The free shuttle bus station is just right in front of our homeDamn convenient
We went to the Onsen near our home, like really near, maybe about 1 min walk..
Onsen is the best after a real hard day
And of course,
Dinner at A-bu-cha Second, a friend’s reccomendation
Hiyayakko is actually cold tofu in Japanese with fish flakes and leeks for topping.
Never imagine the same topping match with cheese so perfectly
So, this is how I ended my day of 1 January 2010
It was really a long day for that I felt like I did a lot on that day~
Hope 2010 will be a GREAT YEAR for me and for you~ YAY!
