31 March 2014 – My second “hanami” session of 2014  to the mini Yumemigasaki  Zoo Park~♪
*hanami=sakura admiring event, sakura viewing, etc

This time was with my mama-friends from little-big-boss baby swimming class  

Babies all about the same age




3 days after the first hanami I had, obviously the sakura bloomed fuller here 
still not the peak yet though..

I think the sakura at the back was probably the biggest and fully bloomed sakura over here

And then, we had lunch A hanami picnic lunch

Basically, we brought our own food except for Yuuki-chan’s mom, the biggest and luxurious of them all

After lunch, it’s play-time~

Little-big-boss walks around by himself a lot..
Like, he seldom look back for his mom..

And now he has friends!

Little-big-boss loves playing ball nowadays, that he will go all excited and shout out “bo-, bo-” whenever he saw a ball on the street, at the park, or anywhere
(the ball in the pic belonged to someone else though)




Time to go for the animals in the zoo!

This is a very small zoo park which is free of charge, just nice for little babies to explore without being too exhausted

Though small, though they do not have elephants, giraffes, gorillas, lions, tigers, all those big animals..
they have zebra, monkeys, red pandas, donkey, flamingos, and all the smaller animals

They have penguins too

1st hanami 2014
→ Sakura in Mitsuike Koen 三ツ池公園でお花見

The Sakura’s season is the best part of spring in Japan .

Spring when the weather is getting warmer and such nice view with white and pink trees everywhere 

Love this season
Love this weather
Love this beautiful flowers.

Well, when the Sakura bloomed, it’s hanami-time
(Hanami = admire the Sakura, Sakura-viewing party, etc

I went for a few places for this hanami event with family and different friends.

First, on 28 March 2014, I went to Mitsuike Koen, a big park which that has 3 lakes inside located in Kanagawa prefecture with one of my mama-friend (friend with babies).

When I first arrived here, there were still no sakura blooming to be seen..
I knew it was a bit too early but never thought that it would be like so.. so not even one to be seen from the entrance..

No leaves, no flowers? 
Too bad, but we enjoyed the park very much anyway even without the blossoms

My little-big-boss hair..I admit is a mess now..(ーー；

His hair has grown,
and never been cut before since birth (´-ω-｀;)

So, waking up in the morning, he can be (not always!) like this ↓

On this day, 31st October is actually my marriage anniversary too!

Yasu took a day leave to accompany me. We didn’t do anything to celebrate literally, just stayed at home relaxing and had our favorite Halloween Ikumimama’s animal doughnuts~

Part 1 → My little-big-boss is ONE

We actually had the big “happy 1st birthday” celebration on the eve, and a small one on the real day (2nd September 2013), just because I am not satisfied with the first cake I made .

I re-challenged myself to make the birthday cake again   

バースデイパーティーはイブにやったけど、当日にもぷちパーティーをしました～
なぜかというと、イブに作ったケーキはやっぱり理想な感じじゃなかったから、再チャレンジのためです ヽ(*´＾｀)ﾉ

And so, this is it 

Non-sugar yogurt cake topping with kiwi fruits and baby biscuits for the sides 
Size around 10~12cm in diameter

Now, this is more like a cake  *very satisfied*

じゃーん！キウィでトッピング、ベビービスケットでサイドに仕上げたヨーグルトケーキです
無糖です！ヘルシー～♪
これで、我が息子にケーキらしいケーキを作れて、もう満足です！

He is growing so fast.. he is going to have his own life, own family, own dream that I am already missing him.. 
成長がはやいもの。。もうすぐ自分の人生、自分の家族、自分の夢を持つようになると思うと。。
寂しくなるぅ。。

Even so, grow up healthy and strong, baby!
でも、どんどん立派になれ～

And yeah, back to the cake, we enjoyed the cake quite much~
Pull out the biscuits, scoop the yogurt with it and nom~

He was born on the 2nd September 2012, in this whole 1 year, he achieved first rolling over, first sitting up, first crawling, first standing up, first grabbing, first eating solid..and first many more.

On 14 September 2013, he had his first step  He walked

そして、2013年9月14日に、ついに人生の第一歩を踏み出しました！！バランスがよくて、2歩、3歩も。。

うちの Yuto は 1歳 になりました～♪

.. since a month ago  on the 2nd of September 2013!

We celebrated on birthday’s eve, no other guests but the 3 of us conquering the living room as our party space 
特に大きくはしてないけど、バースデイ・イブにとりあえず 3人 でわいわいパーティをしました～

Session 1 of the day
 Decorations time * デコ 

First, making the wall blue representing the sky with some clouds .
雰囲気を出すため、100均の模造紙で壁の色をチェンジ！雲も

(The wallpaper was big papers I got from the 100yen shop. The clouds are made out from felt sheet, also from the 100yen shop  )

Put up the “Happy 1st Birthday” banner and the whale.
バナーとくじら風船をアップ！！

(I created the banner  *feeling proud* Nothing I searched from either online or shop front has what I wanted, so I designed it, printed it, and ribbon-ed it . The whale balloon was pretty nice, I like )

Next, the blue and white heart-shaped balloons all over! 
最後にハート型の風船をばーっと一面に 　したら、出来上がり

テーマは 、”海” です☆

Just these 3 steps and it kinda lightened up my living room with a party-mood now .

1st birthday dinner time * ディナータイム

1st Birthday dinner time~! 
Just made a few simple dishes for the day 

簡単にいろいろ作ってみました～

 Tomato with mozzarella cheese top with black pepper.
トマトとモッツァレラチーズ

 Mini tomato + camembert cheese + cucumber
プチトマトとかマンベルチーズとキュウリの串

 Sushi roll

 The caterpillar plate ! made only for the birthday boy 
Yuto のバースデイ食、おかゆでいも虫！！！

The head: Porridge with little white fishes.
The green body: Porridge with spinach.
The orange body: Porridge with carrot.
The eyes and mouth: Seaweed.
The cheeks: Ketchup.
The horn? and legs: Hijiki (a type of sea vege)

And broccoli as the trees , flower-shaped carrots as the flowers .

全然想像したのと違うけど。。（ーー；上のねこプレートは買ったものです 

Made from yogurt + banana with boro baby biscuits topping and marshmallow for the side..
not exactly what I’ve imagined to make..too flat..  It was not very successful cake but tasted not that bad  haha.

By the way, I ordered the “Happy 1st Birthday Yuto” white choc cat plate on top from my favorite doughnut’s shop 

I made this blue crown hat too

 Present time! * プレゼント 

Since there were no other guests but us, Baby boss Yuto had only 2 sets of  and  from grandparents .

Books from us  All in hard-cover, hard-pages
I guess he likes them.
1歳誕の生日に、英語の絵本をまとめて5冊プレゼントしました～！

He would go and take all the books out flip the pages a few times everyday~

Next, the soft toy bowling set  from lil’-uncle (my lil’ bro) and wife 
これは、私の弟夫婦からのプレゼント、ソフトボーリングです♪

 Bowling time! * ボーリングタイム

Confession: What I actually thought for the theme was “sky blue”. When the decorations are all up, it was like, “Oh wow, the ocean!”

Doing this baby sleeping-art thing is not actually quite easy..

Firstly, [DO NOT DISTURB the baby sleep ]

Secondly, [Decide on the theme and well-prepared before you put the baby to sleep  Preferably a few theme on the head, and match whichever with the baby style of sleep on the spot!]

Thirdly, [Give the camera a few clicks even though you haven’t got it perfect, coz the baby may be up in any minute ]

All items used are mostly from what I have in the house.

And, sometimes what is planned doesn’t go perfectly as planned. Baby moves 

Yeah, play flexible anyway, this is just for fun, and nothing has to be perfectly perfect and that is perfect
