The bear for lunch!★2015/02/18 17:42
Bought some cute tools to make cute meals for Little-big-boss
Tadah~
Yuto kept requesting that we wants a bear rice while I was trying to make it! Ended up with this in a short time
Little-big-boss: Bear is sleeping~ blanket~
The egg blanket can be prettier without the rough-cut vege..
Well, it was a quick prepared lunch!
What I wanted to say is,
anyone can prepare one easily with that cute mold!
Even though it might not be as pretty,
it is still cute and the baby will love it haha

Happy New Year! But it’s all about Christmas!★2015/01/06 20:08
Hello~!
It is always a busy period during this festive season
The whole month of preparing for Christmas and soon after that, to welcome the New Year!
Well, preparing for the Christmas was fun
We don’t have enough space to place a normal Christmas tree at home , so I tried to make a 2D tree which I can just stick it to the wall
Then I had my Little-big-boss to decorate with candies, cookies, biscuits onto the tree
Decorating with goodies day by day..
And here, the goodies Christmas tree~
Almost 80% of them are stick by Little-big-boss
While preparing, Little-big-boss kept playing Santa boots in the house
This boots are actually a hard case..but somehow Little-big-boss fit in very well
Just that he would walk like a robot after wearing them..
ON CHRISTMAS’ EVE
We had a little party
Daddy was busy at work, so only Little-big-boss and I joined the party
Little-big-boss star hashed potato
A Christmas tree made of cucumber
Time for some wefie shots! ...
Oh, we made a cake too!
With these super nice strawberries!
Yah, Japanese-style Christmas cake, a cake with strawberries!
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
The strawberry shortcake Christmas version
This cake is super easy, no oven needed!!
coz it is made of pancake mixed flour
You just need to have fun decorating it!!

I made a video on making this cake!
Little-big-boss helped too
A recipe where you can try with your little ones!
Make a different decoration, it can be a cake for any occasion!!

I was asking him to look at the camera and he kept looking everywhere except the camera..
It tasted actually good.
Not too sweet, definitely good for little babies
ON CHRISTMAS DAY
We didn’t do much instead, just enjoying the Christmas night at home peacefully
Little-big-boss house was decorated for Christmas too
Peeping out from the little window over-viewing the Christmas night
HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!

Happy Halloween 2014★2014/11/11 15:06
Since having a child, I am getting more eager to celebrate any events, simple or big – never a matter, you’d just want to with a 2 years old baby around
He learns, he enjoys it and we all have fun
Only me and Little-big-boss were at home.
This year, papa is soooo busy until he had to stay in his office to work overnights
So this is how we had 2014 Happy Halloween (★ФДФ)
The DECORATION
The draft
Just a very simple one for my wall
.
.
.
Tadah~
The deco house on the wall with ball lights~
Peeking out from the window of his cardboard house
Ball lights inside the house too~
The whole month of October, everywhere was decorated with Jack O’ Lantern, ghosts, vampires, bats, all sorts of the Halloween members~ especially yeah, the famous Jack O’ Lantern (*-∀-艸)
So, this year my theme is all about Jack O’ Lantern the Ghost Pumpkin~
My baby Jack O’ Lantern – handmade pumpkin costume
He was actually very happy with his pumpkin suit
He kept saying kabocha (pumpkin) clothe, kabocha clothe since when I’m in the middle of making it
He moved so much and yeah it was hard to take pics on a baby..
but for this 2 years old here, when I said “STOP”, and he stopped with this cutey reaction
The pumpkin Playtime~
The Halloween FOOD
Breakfast
The pumpkin Jack O’ Lantern pancake~
Chu A kiss to start
(the eyes, nose, mouth is made from milo..)
Munch munch yummy~
Little-big-boss: “Pancake oishii~”
Lunch
The pumpkin Jack O’ Lantern Okonomiyaki
(Doesn’t really look like one for this though..)
Little-big-boss: “O~aki de~su”
(faking to eat)
“Aaa~ nom~”
Dinner
The main dish!
.
.
.
The pumpkin Jack O’ Lantern curry rice~
(The Jack O’ Lantern rice is made of pumpkin + rice)
And Little-big-boss making Jack more scary on his first slash..
Little-big-boss favorite CURRY RICE~
.
.
.
.
.
Though just the 2 of us, this is how we celebrated a quite simple but warm Happy Halloween
No tricks but only treats though~

My Little-big-boss is TWO★2014/10/21 02:51
My Little-big-boss is TWO
..since last month
So, he is officially 2 years and 1 month plus
We celebrated 2 days before the real birthday, on Sunday, and same as last year, only the 3 of us
1st session – Dinner time~
A very simple birthday plates
Papa just had his wisdom tooth removed and still in pain, Mama is having her orthodontic treatment, so we both can’t really eat
Pork meat rice burger with prawns and mini tomatoes as side dishes for mama and papa
Veges rice burger with fried egg and mini tomatoes as side dishes for the Little-big-boss
Itadakimasu~ nom nom nom nom
Little-big-boss was very hungry..
Was late having this dinner cz of all the preparation
With papa
With mama
2nd session – Birthday cake time
I’m literally not good in making cakes..
Still I took the challenge to make one instead of buying one..
just to see my Little-big-boss’s happy face when seeing a CHOO CHOO TRAIN cake
He is very obsessed in vehicles, like all of any vehicles. At first he had his attention to buses and trains. Then the fire engine and ambulance. Lately, the construction/working vehicles! He knows most of the names too. the common ones of course . Excavator, dump truck, bulldozer, tractor, garbage truck, tank truck, crane, cars carrier truck, tow truck..etc
So, this year I decided to make him a Choo choo train cake!
I know it looks like an amateurish made cake..
But Little-big-boss was very very happy with the cake
Where he kept saying choo~ choo~ all the while~
Happy 2nd Birthday
My little baby
3rd session – Present time
This year we present him..
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Tadaaaaaaaaah~
The RAILWAY TRAIN SET
Yes! Everything is about the TRAIN today!!
When Little-big-boss first saw this, he imitated me
“Tadah~ tadah~!
and he was like “Waaaaah~, yay yay yay~!!”
Trying out the pressie with papa~
Very concentrating
Like as if he is not going to sleep tonight..
The next morning..
.
.
.
.
.
Still very excited seeing his trains~
And the next next morning~
Till today he is still fun playing with them

Our favourite nearby spot 気に入りのお散歩スポット★2014/08/21 18:41
Ever since I have my Little-big-boss around, almost everyday we’ll be out having a walk or to nearby parks or tea with nearby mama friends
It’s just easier for me to look after Little-big-boss and without cleaning up and got messed up again the next minute
And of course it’s happier, healthier and much more fun for me and Little-big-boss himself
Yeah, we have to keep connected with the outside world through our sense not just through the screen
Anyway, when we were having our walk, there’s this old little cigarettes’ shop that we would stop by most of the time.
This shop is kinda unique
The uncle from this shop will always place something especially things that attract kids in front of his shop And they keep changing according to seasons and festivals
For example,
A table with some spinning tops
One of the old-time games
Kinda nostalgic to see this and heart warming to know there’s someone is trying to keep the old culture
Little-big-boss had fun with them
Kids play whatever is given, shall we let them explore before they got stick on the screen of some sort
There were colorful rubber balls in a pool of water too
Hold, roll, throw, pick the colors, any ways you wanna play it
At the same time, it was the 7th of July, the Tanabata festival
Uncle, the shop owner prepared some papers and pens there for people to write down their wishes, “tanzaku”
Little-big-boss writing down some wishes too
He had a flu, so I wrote a wish wishing him for fast recovery
The setting for the festival
A wish for everyone May you all be happy always

After a month, when I came back from Malaysia, we came by this shop again
As usual, though I didn’t mention it yet, there are always some small animals displayed alongside too.
Fishes , scorpions , snakes, snails, crabs, tortoise, beetles and etc
In small aquariums and containers
The uncle here I think he likes kids to expose more to the nature, that he always talk and persuade Little-big-boss to try and touch or hold the little animals (the safe one of course!).
Little-big-boss likes to see from far, but once any of them is near him, he will move back and hide
Since he was afraid of touching any of them, the uncle let him help to feed the tortoise instead
In summer, there was a plant of Mimosa Pudica displayed over there too.
I think some of you may be quite familiar with this in your childhood
In Malay, we called it rumput malu-malu which means bashful grass
and in Japanese we called it Ojigi grass (おじぎ草) which means the bowing grass
And we have a new display this round!
“Rocks with drawings”
Creative and definitely one of an interesting activity for the kids
What even more surprising me was, the Tanabata display a month ago has turned to…
The Kappa family (*゜θ゜*)(*゜θ゜*)(*゜θ゜*)
And there were 2 families (*゜θ゜*)(*゜θ゜*)(*゜θ゜*)(*゜θ゜*)(*゜θ゜*)(*゜θ゜*)
It is a tradition to water the Kappa’s head especially when it dries up faster in a hot summer day
Here’s a display of Kappa’s faces
Feeling inspired, we got the base from uncle and started drawing our own kappa
Tadah~ the Kappa pendant
Hehe
Happy summer~

Baby spa & the authentic Japanese FISH lunch★2014/08/17 01:15
Yeah, I was back in Malaysia for a 3 weeks holiday staying at my brother’s house
Yappi was with us for 4 days only, and back for work after that.
Departing from Haneda from 23:30 almost midnight..
Arriving safely and happily after 7 hours flight
It was good traveling on a night flight with a toddler Coz they will most probably sleep through the night
Little-big-boss dozed off once he was on the plane and woke up around 1 or 2 hours before arrival
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Anyway, we have met a lot of friends.
Among them, we so happened to have one who runs a baby spa – Hippopo Baby Spa & Wellness
We never knew and we were very curious
I didn’t know that baby spa actually is already quite well known in Asia.. like what I’ve heard, there were already above 2000 baby spa running in China
And so, our friends, a married couple, who were so kind to have invited us for a try out with Little-big-boss
The play corner for the babies to warm up
We were like, wow.. what a luxurious space for babies..
I can say, this is Little-big-boss very first experience on a baby spa
Luckily we were taking baby swimming course back in Japan, which made him go down the water more comfortably in the spa
The Baby Spa
There were 2 big tubs (for 6 months to 3 years old) and erm..I think 2 small tubs (for baby below 6 months old).
He was happy
Yeah, very happy during the bath
While relaxing after the bath, it was time for a baby massage..
As expected, he is not used to and doesn’t like and not willing to let anyone he doesn’t know to interfere his life all this while kinda.. how can it be okay of having the staff to massage him..(→my doubt earlier)
Baby is supposed to lie down while enjoying the sensation of massaging by the professional there, but since Little-big-boss was not willing to, we still tried a little while I hold him up..
Yeah, it didn’t work out
I think he might thought that the staffs there were doctors
he hates docs.. haha
.
.
.
.
After the baby spa, we head to another friend’s place for lunch.
This friend is a Japanese who married a Malaysian-Chinese wife and stayed in Malaysia.
They opened a Japanese restaurant which specialize in FISH dishes UOKATSU
Happy eating food that he recognized
Well, we really really had a wonderful and fulfilling day and it was so great to have wonderful friends like them
Grateful thanks to:
Nick and Stephanie from Hippopo Baby Spa & Wellness
Tomono-san and Winnie from UOKATSU

Hana Kirei はなきれい★2014/07/08 12:49
A story of Spring 2 months ago 28 April 2014
春のお話
Hana – flowers
Kirei – beautiful
Hana kirei – beautiful flowers!
ここでは、”はなきれい”の巻だけど、色々しゃべるようになったよ~
Yeah..Little-big-boss starting to talk like us! I mean, a language that we understand!..erm… I mean talk in not just his baby-language!
Sorry, confusing..
Me, his mommy speaks English and Japanese with him.
His daddy speaks 100% Japanese with him.
His grandpa, grandma (dad’s parents) speaks also 100% Japanese with him.
His grandma (mom’s mom) speaks Cantonese with him.
..so he is like.. I think he is all confusing at the moment but manage to START TALKING LIKE US!
I think he started with calling us
Ma (mama)
Pa (papa)
Maa maa (grandma in cantonese)
Or maybe the animal sounds
Or maybe “ba- ba-” (bus)
Not too sure coz I think they are about the same time
Ah~, no, before he turned 1, he started with “kore, kore”!! means “this, this” in Japanese since
He pointed everything he sees and kept saying “kore, kore”, like he was trying to ask “what is this?, what is this?”
Even when he was having his food, he kept asking by saying, “kore, kore”
He is not going to eat if he doesn’t get his answer..
At 1 point, we adults kept saying “dame” alot, which means “no”, then he started telling us “meh!” in return.. since then we try not to use it too much..
But somehow, his most use word now is “No”..”no, no~!”.
Anyway, some time back, Little-big-boss trendy words were about the “flowers” in Japanese though, which is “花, hana”.
I taught him “flower” first, so he knows it in English too but never pronounce it yet .
At the mean time, his words are still mostly in one word. Normally he picked up the last sound of a word
When he started saying “na~” everytime he sees flowers, I will then asked him, “hana kirei?”, which means “Is the flower beautiful?”
He actually answered me for that by saying “kiREEEi”! (kirei *beautiful)
Though I know he was just mimicking my words back then, but it just felt like we conversed! haha
hana kirEEEi~
He knows happa (葉っぱ), means leaves too~
Though he only says “pa~, pa~”.
葉っぱ、パをいうよ~
Yeah, till now,
he knows the transport vehicles その他に、乗り物系↓
train (krain), densha 電車 (sha~)
bus (ba-)
car (ka-), kuruma 車 (ma~)
truck (kruck)
crane (crane)
fire engine (jin~)
ambulance (urance?)
motorbike (bai~)
bicycle (ker)
aeroplane (prein)
boat (bo-)
he knows the colors カラー
red (re)
green (gree)
blue (blu)
white (wai)
black (blak)
yellow (lo)
gray (gray)
pink (phin)
purple (per)
he knows his numbers from 1 to 10 数字
one (wan)
two (tsuu) (two)
three (sreee) (three)
four (fo)
five (fai)
six (shi)
seven (eeuun?)
eight (ei)
nine (nai)
ten (ten)
Others like 他
door (dho-)
light (rai)
air-cond (kon)
rain (rain)
open (pin)
close (clo)
okay (k)
ii *good (ii)
etc~
And now follows his mommy saying A to Z
アルファベットも!まねっこしていう段階だけど、”O”だけは文字じたいわかってるみたい~
T-シャツにアルファベット”O”みたら、指して”おー”とかゆってくるよ~
I know his clothes, his hair here kinda girly,
and some of my friends or family kept asking me, “do you like girls? that’s why you are dressing your son like that?”
Absolutely NOT!
He is just a baby, you can’t even tell the baby gender without confirming the down part most of the time.
All babies are cute.
Even if he’s a boy, as long as the dresses, the clothes matches the baby, why not?
As long as you don’t go over it and dress him skirts or laces (except for some special occasions), really why not?
Not all baby suits all clothes, I know
And I don’t know why, most of the boys’ clothes are just not cute..(except for some brands)
Anyway, I’m glad and happy, and most satisfied with how I dress Little-big-boss.
It’s just cute
And about the hair,
even male adults now has long hair! Why not on a baby~?
With his curly curles!
It’s just cute

Sakura in Showa Kinen Park 昭和記念公園でお花見★2014/05/22 01:18
5 April 2014 – My fourth “hanami” of the year! at Showa Kinen Park, a very very big park!
This time was with Yappi and his friends
This park is really really big that in order to get to our lunch destination, the open field, we had to walk like more than 30 minutes in the park itself..
There were a few entrance for the park and the entrance that we entered was the furthest one..
Pretty challenging when you have a baby to look after while carrying all the stuffs and while you have a husband who went ahead so far away to take pictures
*Nah, just at some points He will be back to help
Well, we reached the open field,
and never thought it will be this OPEN
This tree was just right at the center where we meet with our friends
And we had lunch
We took a spot nearer to the kids playground instead of the sakura coz it was so crowded at the sakura area and we all have kids!
The day started very sunny and nice, but suddenly there were hailstones dropping onto our food!
Luckily the sun came back to us after an hour or so
After lunch, we had a walk around the park
Little-big boss giving a helping hand
Little-big-boss doesn’t want to walk sometimes..
Little-big-boss says, “I want a bike too!”
Little-big-boss got his wish!
*Borrowed from friend’s 3 years old son..
Daddy on the act!
Walking under the blossomed sakura is like a dream..
If there weren’t too many people..
Time for Little-big-boss to have a noon-nap on his baby carrier
while the adults keeeeeeep walking~
We walked around the park for another 1 hour or so..
and Little-big-boss woke up just in time for the boat ride~
We were on the lake though the picture above doesn’t show!
Time to head home before sunset.
A pic of my mom
taken while we were walking again so far back to our carpark..

What more can I ask for
I am too blessed to be able to witness this beautiful season, this beautiful trees
It was a peaceful day
Being on a weekday, there were not too many people
Under the beautiful tunnel of sakura trees
Feeling so blessed to be in this beautiful part of the world
To be able to enjoy the mother nature of the earth is my happiness
To let my child to be part of this world is my joy
The old, the young, we share the world
