Our favourite nearby spot 気に入りのお散歩スポット★2014/08/21 18:41
Ever since I have my Little-big-boss around, almost everyday we’ll be out having a walk or to nearby parks or tea with nearby mama friends
It’s just easier for me to look after Little-big-boss and without cleaning up and got messed up again the next minute
And of course it’s happier, healthier and much more fun for me and Little-big-boss himself
Yeah, we have to keep connected with the outside world through our sense not just through the screen
Anyway, when we were having our walk, there’s this old little cigarettes’ shop that we would stop by most of the time.
This shop is kinda unique
The uncle from this shop will always place something especially things that attract kids in front of his shop And they keep changing according to seasons and festivals
For example,
A table with some spinning tops
One of the old-time games
Kinda nostalgic to see this and heart warming to know there’s someone is trying to keep the old culture
Little-big-boss had fun with them
Kids play whatever is given, shall we let them explore before they got stick on the screen of some sort
There were colorful rubber balls in a pool of water too
Hold, roll, throw, pick the colors, any ways you wanna play it
At the same time, it was the 7th of July, the Tanabata festival
Uncle, the shop owner prepared some papers and pens there for people to write down their wishes, “tanzaku”
Little-big-boss writing down some wishes too
He had a flu, so I wrote a wish wishing him for fast recovery
The setting for the festival
A wish for everyone May you all be happy always

After a month, when I came back from Malaysia, we came by this shop again
As usual, though I didn’t mention it yet, there are always some small animals displayed alongside too.
Fishes , scorpions , snakes, snails, crabs, tortoise, beetles and etc
In small aquariums and containers
The uncle here I think he likes kids to expose more to the nature, that he always talk and persuade Little-big-boss to try and touch or hold the little animals (the safe one of course!).
Little-big-boss likes to see from far, but once any of them is near him, he will move back and hide
Since he was afraid of touching any of them, the uncle let him help to feed the tortoise instead
In summer, there was a plant of Mimosa Pudica displayed over there too.
I think some of you may be quite familiar with this in your childhood
In Malay, we called it rumput malu-malu which means bashful grass
and in Japanese we called it Ojigi grass (おじぎ草) which means the bowing grass
And we have a new display this round!
“Rocks with drawings”
Creative and definitely one of an interesting activity for the kids
What even more surprising me was, the Tanabata display a month ago has turned to…
The Kappa family (*゜θ゜*)(*゜θ゜*)(*゜θ゜*)
And there were 2 families (*゜θ゜*)(*゜θ゜*)(*゜θ゜*)(*゜θ゜*)(*゜θ゜*)(*゜θ゜*)
It is a tradition to water the Kappa’s head especially when it dries up faster in a hot summer day
Here’s a display of Kappa’s faces
Feeling inspired, we got the base from uncle and started drawing our own kappa
Tadah~ the Kappa pendant
Hehe
Happy summer~

Baby spa & the authentic Japanese FISH lunch★2014/08/17 01:15
Yeah, I was back in Malaysia for a 3 weeks holiday staying at my brother’s house
Yappi was with us for 4 days only, and back for work after that.
Departing from Haneda from 23:30 almost midnight..
Arriving safely and happily after 7 hours flight
It was good traveling on a night flight with a toddler Coz they will most probably sleep through the night
Little-big-boss dozed off once he was on the plane and woke up around 1 or 2 hours before arrival

Anyway, we have met a lot of friends.
Among them, we so happened to have one who runs a baby spa – Hippopo Baby Spa & Wellness
We never knew and we were very curious
I didn’t know that baby spa actually is already quite well known in Asia.. like what I’ve heard, there were already above 2000 baby spa running in China
And so, our friends, a married couple, who were so kind to have invited us for a try out with Little-big-boss
The play corner for the babies to warm up
We were like, wow.. what a luxurious space for babies..
I can say, this is Little-big-boss very first experience on a baby spa
Luckily we were taking baby swimming course back in Japan, which made him go down the water more comfortably in the spa
The Baby Spa
There were 2 big tubs (for 6 months to 3 years old) and erm..I think 2 small tubs (for baby below 6 months old).
He was happy
Yeah, very happy during the bath
While relaxing after the bath, it was time for a baby massage..
As expected, he is not used to and doesn’t like and not willing to let anyone he doesn’t know to interfere his life all this while kinda.. how can it be okay of having the staff to massage him..(→my doubt earlier)
Baby is supposed to lie down while enjoying the sensation of massaging by the professional there, but since Little-big-boss was not willing to, we still tried a little while I hold him up..
Yeah, it didn’t work out
I think he might thought that the staffs there were doctors
he hates docs.. haha

After the baby spa, we head to another friend’s place for lunch.
This friend is a Japanese who married a Malaysian-Chinese wife and stayed in Malaysia.
They opened a Japanese restaurant which specialize in FISH dishes UOKATSU
Happy eating food that he recognized
Well, we really really had a wonderful and fulfilling day and it was so great to have wonderful friends like them
Grateful thanks to:
Nick and Stephanie from Hippopo Baby Spa & Wellness
Tomono-san and Winnie from UOKATSU

MOMOE fashion★2014/08/01 03:44
10 years back, there were one period of time, I used to buy my clothes and accessories from MOMOE, a fashion brand more likely for teenager girls
I think mainly because of their style which is more to Japan’s fashion influence (street style) and the price was pretty cheap
Even their slogan is in Japanese, “あなたらしさ”, which means like “be yourself” I’ve never been visiting this shop for years and now that I’ve upgraded my status to be a mom, at this age, and I can’t believe that I walked into this shop again and actually shopped
They were actually not bad at all! I mean not like for the young and only young as I remembered
Their bags are cute
Some posing with Little-big-boss
The blue Thai-ish top with flowery mini pants-skirt
The blue border top
Little-big-boss posing like an adult..
The off-shoulder sweet top with yellow polka-dot in red skirt

The end.
